Jatiluwih is another favorite tourist destination in Bali located in Tabanan regency. It is located 28 kilometer north from Tabanan regency, about 48 kilometers from Denpasar city. It is famous for the beautiful rice terrace scenery and the fresh atmosphere with Mount Batukaru backdrop. From Jatiluwih we can see beautiful Bali valley with rice terrace and some traditional houses built in the sides of the terrace. The word Jatiluwih is derived from two words, Jati means real and Luwih means good or beautiful. Jatiluwih is also famous with its agriculture due to its location that is located in the plateau of Batukaru Mountain. This rice terrace is located on 700 meters above sea level, hence, it has a cool and fresh temperature. Jatiluwih has been appointed as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a fundamental of the local society life.

Jatiluwih also keeps a religious attraction which is known as Patirtaan in Petali Temple on Wednesday Kliwon Ugu (based on the Balinese calender). This temple is to worship the God in manifestation of agriculture. Another temple that can be visited around the area is Pucak Rsi Temple. There are many restaurants provided near the rice terrace.
