The Charm of Crystal Bay On Nusa Penida

Crystal Bay is one of tropical paradise in Nusa Penida and an ideal place for relaxing, sunbathing, and snorkeling. It located on the western side of Nusa Penida specifically in Sakti Village, Klungkung regency, Bali. From Toya Pakeh Harbour, it takes 45km straight to the bay within a 40minutes ride. Once you arrive in Nusa Penida, you can head to Crystal Bay by either renting a car or scooter at the harbor. The road to this beach is definitely easy to compare with most of the other famous locations in Nusa Penida. Also, reaching the beach doesn’t require stairs to go down like other locations on this island. It surrounded by huge cliffs that give the sense of secret getaway. Therefore, it attracts many tourists to visit this beautiful place. Besides, many hotels also offer a free daily shuttle to get there.
However, Crystal Bay not only offers a stretch of white sand with a beautiful sea. But also the attractions from its underwater gem. It is one of the only sites in the world where you can see the Giant Sun Fish (Mola Mola). Above all, Crystal Bay will never fail to blow you away and here is the list you can do while visiting this beach.  

1. Relax on The Beach





Relax on the white sand beaches and far from the tourist crowds is what most tourists need when they are either too exhausted after exploring Nusa Penida. You can get it by visiting Crystal Bay and enjoy the sunset view. Moreover, there are small stalls at the back of the beach offering snacks and cold drinks while being witness sunset. Also, you can rent bean bags under an umbrella to make your trip more enjoyable. Besides, it is very nice for pictures with all the high palm and the sun effect was like be in a Hollywood movie. It is recommended to come early if you want a decent sunbed or spot for the day. Crystal Bay is a great place for families swimming and soaking up the sun.  

2. Snorkeling and Diving




Crystal Bay is one of the most famous diving sites in the world. The water is crystal clear, hence the name of the site. You will see the water is clear shades of blue with a lovely reef with lots of tropical fish and turtles. It is one and only site you can meet the Giant Sun Fish (Mola Mola) from July to October. For snorkelers, this beach is a magnet with pristine blue ocean water, colorful fishes, and the corals are in excellent health. However, there are some important things that you must pay attention to before snorkeling as well as diving at Crystal Bay. Please make sure you got licensed and trusted instructors and be careful when swimming as the currents from the middle of the bay can be strong and treacherous. It is better to stay relatively close to the beach or hire a boat when snorkeling.
