Tukad Bangkung Bridge Offers Incredible View of Scenery

Tukad Bangkung Bridge is a bridge built in Plaga Village, Petang Sub district, Badung Regency. It takes approximately 1 hour to reach the bridge from Denpasar City. This Tukad Bangkung Bridge is said to be one of the highest bridge in Asia, sixth longest in Indonesia and the longest bridge in Bali. The bridge has a length of 360 meters, width of 9.6 meters and height of 71.14 meters, the construction of the bridge is resistant to earthquakes up to 7 Ritcher Scale.Tukad Bangkung Bridge was inaugurated by the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, on December 19, 2006.

The bridge has the function to replace the old tourist route that connects the streets of Denpasar, Sangeh and Petang. On the way to Tukad Bangkung Bridge visitors would pass interesting tourist attractions such as Sangeh, Tanah Wuk, Petang Village and Nungnung Waterfall, this bridge can also be accessed through the Kintamani route. From the bridge, visitors may see incredible views of green scenery with cool mountain atmosphere. Along the way of the bridge, many small shops are lined up. Having a stop in one of the shop is the right place of seeing the scene of Tukad Bangkung Bridge. Visiting Tukad Bangkung Bridge as one of the highest bridge in Asia is worthy included on the tour destination when visiting Bali.

Bali Mandara Toll Ride You on The Sea

Bali Mandara Toll road is the first toll road which links Denpasar city, south Kuta, Badung regency and Ngurah Rai international airport. The Toll is constructed above the water with 12.7 kilometers of length. During the construction, several mangroves around the shore were cleared. This action has become controversy among environment activists. The construction has been completed in 14 months and it was officially opened by the Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the 23rd of September 2014. The purpose of this Toll construction is to prevent traffic jams on Bypass Ngurah Rai Road. 

The meaning of "Mandara" is an acronym of some Indonesian word. The words consists of Maju (to move forward), Aman (safe), Damai (peaceful), and Sejahtera (prosperous). The fee charged to use this Mandara Toll is Rp 10.000 for cars and Rp. 4000 for motorcycles. The Governor of Bali this toll would be a new icon that becomes the pride of the island of Bali.
