Taman Ujung, Amlapura - Bali

Taman Ujung or Taman Soekasada Ujung is one of historical tourism which located in Karangasem. Taman Ujung is located in eastern area of Karangasem regency, Tumbu village,   around 2 hours by vehicle to get this place. Taman Ujung is a heritage sites from Karangasem Kingdom. At first Taman Ujung is 400 acres but now it is 10 acres, because that land was distributed to the people. It was built on 1919 by the last King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Jelantik who ruled in Karangasem between 1909 and 1945. In the construction of Taman Ujung he was involved   profesional architect from Bali, Belanda, China. This architecture of Taman Ujung has mix style from Traditional architecture of Balinese and Belanda. Eruption of Mount Agung on 1963 was destroyed water palace and got damaged due to big earthquake on 1979, but the government has made restoration for this place. Taman Ujung Consist of some pond and with floating palace in water where the king was rested, Bale Kambang in southern pond, the round Shape of Bale Bengong, Bale Kapal – The building in the highest place to monitor the ships passing. In the other side there are big rhino statue and bull statue. In Taman Ujung you can enjoy the blue ocean view, the green forest view, and also the top of Mount Agung.
