The Peaceful of the Sleeping Buddha Statue in Tabanan

If you come to Tabanan, you must visit Dharma Giri Buddhist Monastery. This place located in Pupuan and it will take 2 hours from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The special thing about this place is the Sleeping Budha Statue.

This statue has long about 10 meters and high about 4 meters. The Sleeping Buddha Statue was made by Klungkung’s stone carver. This statue shaped a Buddha who was sleeping and putting his head in his hand. The function of this statue is placed for the Buddhists praying. You can visit this place but you must keep silent because Buddhists are doing meditation. 

You don’t allow wearing short pants. Don’t worry if you wear short pants, you will get long cloth-like Balinese cloth (Kamen). You must let off your shoes or sandal when you enter the gate and get close to a statue. Besides the mega statue, you will see an amazing view of Pupuan Village and you can take a picture.
