Taman Ujung Karangasem or also called Taman Ujung Sukasada is a tourism object in the east Bali that very popular in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourist. Taman Ujung Sukasada located in Tumbu Village, Karangasem, Bali, about about 85 kilometers from Denpasar city and it takes 2,5 hours drive by car.

In Taman Ujung there are three large pools, one located in the south and two other pools in the north. In the southern, there is a large building in the middle of pool called “Bale Bengong”. This building has no walls, there are only concrete pillars to sustain the building’s roof. In the past, this building was used to entertain honored guests and king of Karangasem.

The pool that located in the north, has a bigger size. This pool equipped with a bridge so that we can cross it while looking various fish. In the middle of this pool there is also a building that used as place for kings take a rest. By people, this building called “Istana Gantung” because its looks like a hanging building. Not only that, here there are also a building that without walls and roof. Only standing a big and tall pillars that are connected with each other. This building was built in a high place. So, to get there we have to stepping a lot of stairs. However, when we reached to the top, every corners of Taman Ujung’s splendor can be seen clearly.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), South Kuta - Bali
