Celuk Village is located in Sukawati District of Gianyar Regency, 10 kilometers from Denpasar city. Surrounded by beautiful rice fields, it is an interesting village in Bali, famous and known as a jewelry village. It takes about 1 hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport, it is easily reachable from Bypass Ngurah Rai road. Celuk Village is one of the main Balinese craft towns, there are traditional markets that are full with Balinese culture. This village is famous for its gold and silver that is used in jewelry production. It is possible for visitors to see the the process and the stages of the production from finding, preparing, cleaning to shaping. Many gold and silver galleries can be found along the main road of this village those are opened for tourists.
The various types of jewelry that can be found in Celuk village are rings, bracelets, chokers, earrings, hair pins, as well as pearls. Visitors are also able to order personalized crafts and products, the craftsmen would make the personalized craft for visitors in a very low price. The creativity of Celuk Village's craftsmen are not only in the local market trading, it is also exported to Big cities like Jakarta, they even carried out the international trading such as Europe, Australia, Japan and America. As one of Bali's tourist attraction, Celuk Village is mostly visited by tourists in the morning and afternoon time.
