Candi Kuning Market Offers Variety of Refreshments


Candi kuning Traditional Market is a traditional fruit and vegetable market located near the entrance of Bedugul Botanical Garden, Tabanan Regency. The market is easy to be found because it is located beside the main road from Denpasar to Singaraja. This market can be visited when passing the road from or to Singaraja or after having a recreation at Bedugul Botanical Garden, visitors can visit Candi Kuning Market. The market is visited by many people, both foreign and domestic tourists, even the local people often come to this market and shop for their daily necessities.

Candi Kuning market is famous for its fresh fruits and vegetables. All the fruits and vegetables sold in this market is fresh because it is supplied from the local agriculture field in the surrounding area. A wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables can be found in this market such as Pomelo, Durian, Rambutan, Manggis, Salak, Mangoes and passion fruit. Bedugul is famous with its strawberries, fine and sweet strawberries are easy to be found in this market. Various types of beautiful and delicate flowers and orchids are also sold in this market, it is displayed neatly creating an array of wonderful colors. Fresh and good conditioned spices include nutmeg, pepper, Paprica and turmeric are also available in this market.

Besides various types of fruits, vegetables, flowers and spices, visitors may also find Balinese souvenirs and traditional snacks to take home for families and friends. It is a very interesting market to visit especially for foreign visitors who would like to try various type of tropical fruits in relatively cheap price. Candi Kuning Market is opened daily from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Around the market, several restaurants are provided for visitors who would like to eat and have a rest.

Bali Frangipani Garden - The house of Frangipani

Taman Jepun or Bali Frangipani Garden is a great flower garden located in the center of Denpasar City, in Jalan Hayam wuruk. Bunga Jepun or Frangipani flower is widely used in ritual offerings, decorations and as garden plants in Bali. The garden has an area of 2.5 hectares and it is a special garden that collects various types of Frangipani flowers. Situated in the center of the city makes this garden as one of a tourist attraction but only few people notice the presence of this garde. For visitors who likes flowers, it is recommended to have a visit to this beautiful Frangipani Garden. Visitors can relax and enjoy a different atmosphere of flower garden.


This Frangipani Garden was opened in 2011, it collects about 400 Frangipani (2 to 10 meters tall) trees with different species and brought in from foreign countries such as Latin America, India, some countries from Southeast Asia and Balinese Frangipani itself. Some scarce species that may be more than a hundred years can also be found in this garden. The garden is laid out neatly completed with fish ponds. Entering the garden, visitors would see beautiful Frangipani trees lining up. Especially on flowering season during May to November, visitors may see lots of colorful Frangipani with great scents.

The garden is opened from 7:00am until 20:00pm, the enterance fee is only Rp. 30.000 per person. Outbound activities such as flying fox, camping ground and other children parks are provided in this garden with additional fees. A restaurant is ready to serve visitors with delicious drinks and meals after having a stroll around the garden. This garden is also available to be rented as a wedding and party venues.
