Malioboro - Souvenir Paradise Yogyakarta

Malioboro is the traditional market located in the center of Yogyakarta City exactly at Malioboro street, across the DPRD Yogyakarta office and only 20 minutes from Adisuciptjo International Airport. This market famous for vendors selling unique souvenir of  'batik' Jogja. From north till south lined up vendors selling art product such as ring, necklace, shadow play, accessories and others. Besides art product visitors can buy T-shirt, shirt, bags, shoes and hat called blangkon. All of which characterized by batik. 

Visitors who come and shop in this market are not only local people but also come from outside town and foreign guests. Especially Saturday night and holiday this market would be fulled and crowded by visitors.

Besides souvenir, in the night there are also Jogja food and snack especially gudeg. With the light shinning in the night, crowded of people shopping and performance arts by artist such as pantomin, paint art and music add a beautiful impression Malioboro. 
For surround area of Malioboro, can walk while enjoying looking around it or rent a rickshaw with cost Rp 15.000,-
Malioboro is opened on everyday from 08.00am until midnight. This market is worth for visit and shop because visitors get to know all the art product of Jogja.

Candi Kuning Market Offers Variety of Refreshments


Candi kuning Traditional Market is a traditional fruit and vegetable market located near the entrance of Bedugul Botanical Garden, Tabanan Regency. The market is easy to be found because it is located beside the main road from Denpasar to Singaraja. This market can be visited when passing the road from or to Singaraja or after having a recreation at Bedugul Botanical Garden, visitors can visit Candi Kuning Market. The market is visited by many people, both foreign and domestic tourists, even the local people often come to this market and shop for their daily necessities.

Candi Kuning market is famous for its fresh fruits and vegetables. All the fruits and vegetables sold in this market is fresh because it is supplied from the local agriculture field in the surrounding area. A wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables can be found in this market such as Pomelo, Durian, Rambutan, Manggis, Salak, Mangoes and passion fruit. Bedugul is famous with its strawberries, fine and sweet strawberries are easy to be found in this market. Various types of beautiful and delicate flowers and orchids are also sold in this market, it is displayed neatly creating an array of wonderful colors. Fresh and good conditioned spices include nutmeg, pepper, Paprica and turmeric are also available in this market.

Besides various types of fruits, vegetables, flowers and spices, visitors may also find Balinese souvenirs and traditional snacks to take home for families and friends. It is a very interesting market to visit especially for foreign visitors who would like to try various type of tropical fruits in relatively cheap price. Candi Kuning Market is opened daily from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Around the market, several restaurants are provided for visitors who would like to eat and have a rest.

Kedonganan Fish Market Bali offer Great Fish Shopping

Pasar Ikan Kedonganan or Kedonganan Fish Market is a fish market located in Kedonganan village, Jimbaran, South Kuta, badung regency. It is about 3 kilometers from Ngurah Rai International Airport and takes about 10 minutes by car. Kedonganan is well known as the best and the biggest fish market in Bali, visited by people from every segment. Large and fresh fish can easily be found in this market.We must pay a little fee to the guards to enter the market, Rp 1.000 for motorcycles and Rp 2.000 for cars.The fish market is opened from 5:00am until 10:00pm daily.

In the morning, this fish market would look very busy with lots of boats in the coastal area and fishermen who had just come from sailing. In Kedonganan Fish Market, visitors can find all kinds of fish much cheaper than fish that are sold in Jimbaran sea food restaurants. Many people visit this fish market not only because of the cheap price, but also the quality of the fish are all in good condition and fresh. The fish that are sold in this market doesn't only come from the waters in Bali, but also the waters in Java.

The varieties of fish that are sold in this market are prawns, lobsters, squids, scallops, crabs, oysters, octopus and types of marine fish with various sizes. Visitors may also do bargaining with the seller, the prices will slightly rise during special days such as New Years and holiday seasons. After shopping at the market, visitors may grill their fish directly at the stalls and restaurants around the market, it is relative cheap to grill fish at the stalls and the restaurants. The stalls and restaurants will offer delicious grilled seafood and natural Balinese spices as tasty as seafood restaurants in Jimbaran Bay.

Sukawati Art Market or Pasar Seni Sukawati is an art market located in Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. It is approximately 15 kilometers northeast from Denpasar and it can be reached within 1 hour from Denpasar. Sukawati Art Market was established in 1980 referred as Bali's most popular and long-standing art market in Bali. This market is one of the busiest market in Bali especially on holiday seasons, opened daily from 8am to 7pm. Visited by both local and foreign people.

For the locals, they come to this market for sourcing households and daily necessities. But for foreigners and tourists, Sukawati Art Market is one of the best souvenir center and shopping destination in Bali. Compared to other art markets in Bali, such as Kuta and Nusa Dua, the prices that are offered in Sukawati Art Market is much cheaper.
